How it works

Less form filling.
More useful context.

BugFiled is a conversational bug-reporting plugin. It helps organize what happened, what should happen, and the details someone needs to investigate.

01 / DESCRIBE

Start with what went wrong.

Tell ChatGPT about the problem in your own words. Add a screenshot when it helps explain what you saw.

02 / REFINE

Work out the useful details.

Answer a focused follow-up or ask for an edit. Missing information stays unknown, so guesses don’t become facts.

03 / PREPARE

Make it ready to review.

Choose a Jira project or GitHub repository. Get an export draft, with an optional review card inside the conversation.

Just ask

No special syntax.
Start a conversation.

Use ordinary language to describe, revise, and prepare your report. These are examples of what you can ask BugFiled.

Describe a problem

“The Save button does nothing after I edit my profile. I’m using Chrome on Windows. Help me turn this into a bug report.”

BugFiled organizes the facts and asks for context that would help someone investigate.

Revise the draft

“Make the title more specific. It only happens when I change my email address. Leave the browser version as unknown.”

The draft is updated with your correction, while retaining the other details.

Choose a destination and review

“Prepare this for the acme/storefront GitHub repository and show me the review card.”

You get an export preview and a read-only card. The current prototype does not submit the issue.

Built around your workflow

One conversation.
Your team’s issue tracker.

GitHub Issues

A title and Markdown body, organized for the repository you choose.

Jira

A structured export draft for your project and issue type, with a readable preview in chat.

Available today: report drafts and export previews. Direct issue creation, account connections, and attachment uploads are planned.

Try the interactive walkthrough

A scripted example with sample evidence and real export previews. Choose a response below to follow a bug from first note to review card.

This page is a demo. The plugin’s conversation and image understanding happen in ChatGPT. No issues or attachments are submitted.

Good to know

A few details.

Do I need to attach a screenshot?

No. A description is enough to start. Screenshots are optional evidence, and BugFiled keeps image observations distinct from the context you provide.

What if I don’t know all the answers?

You can skip a question or leave a detail unknown. BugFiled keeps those gaps visible instead of inventing reproduction steps, environment details, or a root cause.

Does it file the issue automatically?

Not in the current preview. BugFiled prepares the report and export draft; you file it manually. Live submission and tracker account connections are planned.

Can I edit the review card?

Make changes in chat and request an updated card. The card is a read-only snapshot, so the conversation stays the place to refine your report.
